Plastop earns BRC status with certification

Berry Astrapak congratulates our Plastop Site in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal for successfully passing their BRC accreditation audit this year. The internationally recognised accreditation in food safety and hygiene is highly sought-after and ensures that we provide our customers with the peace of mind that their products are manufactured and supplied within a controlled environment.

The Plastop Team was able to deliver against this strategic requirement while attaining an AA certification status during the audit. Plastop’s SHEQ Manager, Nokukhanya Shobede was delighted with the outcome and attributed their success to ensuring that the small things were done well, and the teamwork displayed across the entire Site.

She proudly remarked that “although the audit was challenging and long hours were put into the preparation, we made it through thanks to our hard-working team who helped the process along. Site commitment was outstanding, and we are most grateful for each person’s contribution.”

Nawaaz Kalick, Group Operations Executive at Berry Astrapak, commended the team at Plastop for this achievement and praised their efforts. “Our sincere thanks and appreciation to the Plastop Team and other support staff from Astrapak who have ensured that we got to this point. Maintaining the BRC status however requires ongoing diligence and commitment. We are confident that our team at Plastop will rise to the challenge and continue to push the boundaries.” said Nawaaz.
